EVs are poised to take over the automotive industry, with various manufacturers coming out with their high MPGe plug-in cars, some of which are purely electric. The Mitsubishi i-MiEV has just debuted in Europe.

Hybrid cars have long been hailed as helping solve the burning problem of automobiles being the world’s biggest pollutants. Plug-in hybrids and electric vehicles are seen as the next big step. But are they really more eco-friendly?

It was oh so simple when there was just one variant of the iconic Toyota Prius hybrid car. Now that there are several new variants added to the Prius family, Toyota asks fans what the best plural form of “Prius” is.

Off we go into the wild blue yonder with a whole new electric aircraft from PC Aero, the Elektra One. Given the quality of some electric vehicles we’ve seen of late, it may surprise you that an aircraft can be run on batteries, but stranger things have happened.

Hybrid and EVs are not the only green technologies in automotive, as we would like to maintain. Some manufacturers rely on other alternatives, like biofuels or natural gases. The Hyundai Veloster, meanwhile, promises stellar mileage on regular petrol.

Aside from Toyota’s announcement of the Prius V MPV, the world’s #1 automaker has unveiled a smaller Prius variant, still at concept stage at this point. The Prius c hybrid car is meant as a city vehicle for singles or young couples.

The iconic Prius is perhaps the most popular hybrid vehicle, and Toyota has hinted at a new addition to the Prius family late last year. Now, the Prius V has been unveiled.
