With CES 2010 just days away, a Canadian retailer has leaked information on upcoming netbooks from Toshiba and Gateway that will carrying Intel’s new Pine Trail silicon. The models are pretty similar, and have been leaked early ahead of an expected CES official unveiling.

Acer had added another new, cheap, Pine Trail netbook to the market, adding to the already plentiful selection of netbooks for consumers. The new Acer Aspire 532h is Acer’s first entry into the Pine Trail market place (while some like Samsung already have three Pine Trail netbooks out).

Whatever you do, don’t call them netbooks. Sony has re-introduced their line of Vaio TT CULV notebooks. They were discontinued earlier this year after Sony faced increasing competition in the CULV market. Unlike the increasing selection of bland netbooks, these Vaio TT notebooks actually have some processing power under the hood.

Netbooks sold incredibly well last year, with their low price point and the world-wide recession and the tech communities’ excitement over Intel’s new Pine Trail generation of Atom processors has gotten all of the netbook manufacturers releasing new netbooks that carry the Pine Trial chips.
