Yesterday we covered the MyFit from Samsung which was a fitness-based PMP. Now Philips is trying their hand at a fitness based PMP device with the “Activa”. Don’t mind that it’s named similarly to the digestive improvement yogurt – this is a no-frills PMP device.

Samsung has unveiled two new PMP devices, each aimed at a different market. The Samsung MyFit is a fitness orientated PMP device, with tools and apps to help you lose weight and keep in shame. The other is the Samsung Ice Touch, which sports a transparent AMOLED display.

The Hearst Corporation-owned Skiff e-reading service has officially revealed the Skiff Reader, the largest e-reader on the market.  This thin, touchscreen e-reader features an 11.5-inch screen, a considerable jump in size over the current market leader, the Amazon Kindle DX.
