We’re not entirely certain quite who this particular mouse will appeal to, but we suspect it may appeal to someone, somewhere for some reason but, for us at least, the idea of integrating an animated LED display and palm cooling strikes us as just a little OTT.

Microsoft have confirmed that their new wireless Sidewinder X8 gaming mouse, which utilises BlueTrack advanced tracking technology capable of processing 13,000 frames a second and which offers between 250 and 4,000dpi user adjustable resolution, is set to become available from next week.
