Amazon’s Kindle is still a pretty remarkable eBook reader, but, unfortunately, it’s no match to the iPad. Amazon knows it and it also knows it has to make it available in more and more stores in order to at least try to compete with Apple’s tablet.

As competition in the ebook reader market continues to heat up, Barnes & Noble have come up with a nice added perk which will hopefully attract sales. The offer is simple — purchase a Nook and get a $50 gift card for free.

Borders has recently put another ebook reading device up for pre-sale. This latest model is the Libre eBook Reader Pro and its selling for a low $119.99. This of course, joins in with the Kobo eReader which we saw come available back on May 7th.
