The folks at Brother make darn good printers and all-in-ones. Last year, they attempted to enter the eReader market with the SV-100B, which was pushed as a “document reader” and was large and expensive. This year, they’re continuing the trend with the SV-70, another large-panel eReader device.

Remember HP’s Slate? You know, the tablet Steve Ballmer presented at the beginning of the year at CES instead of the much anticipated Microsoft Courier? Well it looks like HP is trying to figure out a way of offering a cheaper 3G-enabled tablet to fight against the iPad.
