Sega Teases Jet Grind Radio Release For XBLA, PSN
It seems that these days, most of the video game news we report on is rather disappointing. If it isn’t publishers trying to control a game’s player base, it’s new hardware not doing nearly as good as it should. Despite all of that, there’s still some news stories that many will find uplifting, like this one: Jet Grind Radio is coming to Xbox Live Arcade and PSN.

That’s a bit of news that no one can be disappointed about, especially if you owned a Dreamcast in the early 2000s. This port of Jet Grind Radio (also known as Jet Set Radio is pretty much every place besides the US) is the latest in a line of Dreamcast games to make its way onto modern gaming consoles, with Sega releasing titles like Sonic Adventure and Crazy Taxi through Xbox Live and PSN last year.
Unfortunately, we don’t know much about this port at the moment. Like it did when it revealed that the arcade racing classic Daytona USA would be coming to XBLA and PSN, Sega only released a teaser trailer for Jet Grind Radio, leaving rabid fans to speculate away and just be generally excited to play the game once more.
Indeed, for many, the Dreamcast was the best video game console ever. Ahead of its time, the Dreamcast was killed off long before many think it should have been, and to this day, the Sega faithful still lament its death. Sega Dreamcast games, however, seem to be making something of a comeback these days, with Yu Suzuki talking about the possibility of Shenmue III, Seaman apparently headed for the 3DS, and now Jet Grind Radio on the way to Xbox Live and PSN.
What do you think of this announcement? Are you excited to give Jet Grind Radio another spin? Head down to the comments section to let us know and keep it tuned right here to TFTS – we’ll be sure to update you once Sega starts spilling some more details!
