Motorola RAZR (In White) Announced For The UK

We had seen the White Motorola RAZR come available here in the US with Verizon Wireless back in mid-December, and well, it looks like now is the time for those in the UK. And nicely done, unlike here in the US where we have to look towards one carrier — those in the UK will have several to choose from.

But first, in terms of the availability — despite the handset being available with several carriers — there will be one place to make a purchase for now. That place will be Phones 4U and the White Motorola RAZR will be available for pre-order beginning today (February 23rd).

Otherwise, the handset will be available (for actual purchase) beginning on March 1st. Additionally, those who make the purchase with Phones 4U and do so before March 25th will be entered to win 2 tickets to Snowbombing, which is described as being “the greatest show on snow” and taking place in Mayrhofen, Austria between April 9th and 14th.

But perhaps more important — the carriers, the pricing and the specs. Lets begin with the carriers and the pricing. The White Motorola RAZR will be available through O2, Orange and Vodafone with prices beginning as low as £21.50 per month for an O2 agreement that includes 500MB of data, Wi-Fi, 200 minutes and 3000 text messages. Other plan prices include £28.50 per month with Orange which includes 1GB data along with 600 minutes and 3000 texts or £31.00 per month with Vodafone which includes 500MB of data, 900 minutes and 3000 text messages.

And moving over to the specs, which should sound familiar to anyone who had been looking at the Motorola RAZR in Black. That bit aside though, the handset will arrive running Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread along with a 4.3 inch (540 x 960) Super AMOLED display, dual-core 1.2GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and an 8 megapixel rear facing camera with flash and 1080p HD video recording. The Motorola RAZR is also sporting Corning Gorilla Glass to help protect the display from scratches and scraps as well as a Kevlar coating and splash-guard coating to protect everything including “the electrical boards inside.”
