Motorola Planning To Roll-Out Gingerbread For Select T-Mobile Cliq 2 Users
If you happen to be using a Motorola Cliq 2 with T-Mobile and have been itching to get Gingerbread, you may be in luck. Well, technically speaking, you may be in luck assuming you are willing to become part of a test group.

The details have recently been posted over on the Motorola Owners’ Forum where they put out the call for “1000 customers to test and provide feedback on the Gingerbread software upgrade for the Motorola CLIQ 2.” Of course, the key here is that you will be testing the update for Motorola and T-Mobile. In other words, you may experience some bugs and other issues once you are on Gingerbread. Then again, you may upgrade and have a wonderful experience. Either way, it is important to remember — if you sign up to be in that test group — be prepared for things to go either way.
With that, the folks over at Motorola require those interested to sign up to be part of the Motorola Feedback Network, which means you will have to fill out a survey and hope to be approved for entry into the program. The complete details break down as follows;
We are recruiting 1000 customers to test and provide feedback on the Gingerbread software upgrade for the Motorola CLIQ 2™, before it is officially released to all customers.
If you are interested to know when it is available to all, please Subscribe to this thread by clicking Subscribe at the top of this post.
If you want to get software sooner, there will be a private trial as part of the Motorola Feedback Network. Fill out this survey if you’re interested. We also recommend you fill out information in our new system as we are in the process of migrating over. Please do so by visiting this post.
Otherwise and as one would expect, nothing was offered in terms of when regular (non-test) Cliq 2 users could expect Android 2.3 to arrive for them.
