Kobo Vox, The Ereading Tablet Now Available With Best Buy
We are not all that certain how many users have been choosing the Kobo Vox over the Nook Tablet, Nook Color or Kindle Fire up until this point. Of course, one of those reasons we wonder came down to availability and having something in front of your eyes in a retail store. Anyway, that being said, it looks like the folks at Kobo have just gotten another foot in the door and effective immediately, the Kobo Vox ereading tablet will be available with Best Buy.

Yup, the Kobo Vox will be joining the Kobo Touch on the real-life and virtual shelves of Best Buy. The ereader tablet will be available with a $199 price tag and in four “stylish” colors including Hot Pink, Lime Green, Ice Blue and Jet Black.
“We’re excited to offer the Kobo Vox eReader in U.S. Best Buy locations where consumers can try our innovative social experience and see the difference that Kobo brings to eReading,” said Todd Humphrey, EVP Business Development, Kobo, Inc.
As for reading, Kobo has stated that they currently have 2.5 million books available in their ebook store, of which “more than” one million are available for free. Of course, in addition to ebook reading, the Kobo Vox also offers nearly 5,000 magazines from Zinio and unlimited music from Rdio. Plus, the Vox comes with pre-installed apps to include a web browser and Facebook along with support for POP3 and IMAP4 email.
Otherwise, for those not familiar with the Kobo Vox, this tablet features a 7-inch FFS+ display that is noted as being anti-glare and able to offer a “great” reading experience indoors and/or outdoors. The Kobo Vox also has enough internal storage for up to 8,000 eBooks, expandable storage that can hold up to an additional 40,000 eBooks and “access to unlimited storage in the Kobo cloud.”
Bottom line here, those shopping (at Best Buy) for a low priced ereading tablet will now be able to check out one more model before making a purchase decision.
