Pandora’s Tower Gets European Release Date
When Pandora’s Tower launches in Europe later this year, it will be the third release in a trio of Wii RPGs that have been lauded as some of the best JRPGs ever released. Indeed, with Xenoblade Chronicles already on store shelves, The Last Story coming this month, and Pandora’s Tower launching on April 13th, European Wii owners are definitely in for a treat.

With this freshly-announced release date, Pandora’s Tower will be releasing in Europe just 11 days after Xenoblade Chronicles becomes available in North America. Nintendo of America was quiet about a North American release of Xenoblade Chronicles for a very long time, and it wasn’t until corporate pressure group Operation Rainfall started making the news that Nintendo finally made an announcement.
With a North American release of Xenoblade confirmed, Operation Rainfall has turned its attention to The Last Story. Presumably – if Rainfall’s campaign to get The Last Story released in the US is successful – the group will then focus on getting Pandora’s Tower confirmed as well. Considering it took a lot of time to get a Xenoblade announcement for North America, don’t expect Operation Rainfall or the fans who feel the Wii is being neglected as we close in on the end of its life to go quiet any time soon.

Of course, the biggest factor in whether or not The Last Story and Pandora’s Tower come to North America is how well Xenoblade does with consumers. If you’d like to see either of these RPGs actually release in North America, it behooves you to buy Xenoblade Chronicles as close to launch as you possibly can. Since the European version received stellar reviews, it isn’t like you’ll be risking much on a purchase anyway.
What do you think? Will Nintendo of America eventually announce The Last Story and Pandora’s Tower in the United States, or will the company call it quits after Xenoblade Chronicles?
