Mass Effect 3 Demo Now Available
It’s Valentine’s Day, and since we know that the stereotypes about gamers are all true, we’re going to go ahead and assume that none of you reading this have a significant other to spend the evening with. What’s a lonely, fat, socially bankrupt gamer who lives on nothing but a strict diet of pizza and Mountain Dew supposed to do while the world’s beautiful people are out nurturing their storybook relationships?

Before you reach for that tube of zit cream and doom yourself to an evening of acne treatment, we’d like to remind you that the demo for Mass Effect 3 goes live on Xbox Live, PSN, and Origin today. Just like that, the flame that is normally reserved for scantily-clad Night Elves has been rekindled, hasn’t it?
This demo will take you through the opening moments of Mass Effect 3, showcasing the changes that have been made since Mass Effect 2 and giving you the opportunity to try out the series’ new Kinect voice commands, should you be playing on Xbox 360.
A portion of this demo is reserved for Mass Effect 3’s Galaxy at War mode, but if you haven’t redeemed a Battlefield 3 online pass, this multiplayer demo won’t be available until February 17th. Remember that Xbox Live Silver members will be given free access to Gold if they download the demo, so if you’re a fan of Mass Effect, you really have no excuse not to give this demo a spin.

Mass Effect 3 launches in the US on March 6th and Europe on March 9th, and its release marks the final Mass Effect game that focuses on Commander Shepard. BioWare has teased that it isn’t done with the franchise yet, but Shepard’s story is finished when the events of Mass Effect 3 come to a close, so get ready to say your goodbyes.
So, how about it? Are you going to download this Mass Effect 3 demo, or are you waiting for the retail release so as not to spoil the opening ahead of time? Leave us a comment with your thoughts!
