Those sporing a Verizon Wireless branded Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet may want to be on the look out for an update. Said update has recently been detailed on the Verizon support pages, however as of this point in time the update is still noted as “coming soon.”

That being said, we have yet to hear of the update actually having been received by anyone just jet. Needless to say, we suspect that will change sooner rather than later. And for those who learn of an update and immediately feel the overwhelming desire to have it — you know where to head. Grab your tablet and navigate to Menu -> Settings -> About tablet -> System updates. Otherwise, keep reading this post to find out about just what this update will bring.

According to the details provided by Verizon Wireless, this update will arrive as software update I905.EL01, measure in at 351MB in size and need about 10 to 15 minutes to download and then another 10 to 15 minutes to install. In other words, make sure you have about 30 to 45 minutes to spare before you attempt to begin the process. And with that out of the way, lets get into the new features and the improvements and enhancements.

To begin with, it looks like ‘The Daily” app will be coming. This was previously available only for the iPad, though we were told way back when that it would eventually come to Android.
