Facebook to Offer Timeline Support to iPad Users by Late January
The native Facebook application for iPad certainly took its time to hit the App Store, therefore we’re not surprised to hear that the update that would offer iPad users Timeline support is delayed.

The iPhone version of the app received the Timeline-enabling update more than a week ago, and we would have expected to see Facebook for iPad get its own Timeline update thereafter. Now 9to5mac reports that the update will hit by end of January at the latest, according to an unnamed source:
“The app was already delayed once because of bugs,” a source said, “so, it would not be surprising for the update to be delayed once again.” My source spoke to did stress, though, that mid-to-late-January is definitely the current plan. The source also mentioned that Apple’s approval process is also a factor, and those additional days may come on top of the mid-to-late-January goal, pushing the release back.
The Timeline feature, available to all Facebook users that manage their social networking interactions via desktop web browsers, is a reinvented profile page that records everything a user has done on Facebook from the moment he or she logged in for the first time. The improved interface keeps track of status updates, comments, shares, pictures, and everything else users would find themselves doing on Facebook.
Mark Zuckerberg and Co. introduced the Timeline feature earlier this year, and we’re not surprised to see it become available on a variety of devices. Like I said before, iPhone and iPod touch users can already enjoy it, although we’ll certainly understand whether you’re still not completely sold on the Timeline idea. The word on the street is that once you enabled it can’t be disabled, so you’d better think twice before using the new Facebook profile page.
