LG Prada 3.0 Android Smartphone South Korean Launch Set for December 28
LG unveiled the Prada 3 smartphone a few days ago and it looks like South Korean smartphone fans will be the first ones to have access to LG’s latest Prada-branded smartphone.

The device will be available in South Korea starting with December 28 and it will cost around $778 off contract, although subsidized Prada 3 units will be available for customers interested in inking a new two-year deal with certain carriers – SK Telecom will start selling it tomorrow, with KT launching the phone on January 5.
What’s interesting about this new Android device is that it has already been confirmed to receive the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade at some point in Q2, so if you’re interested in a brand new Android smartphone that will run ICS someday then the Prada 3 is definitely a candidate.
But can the Prada 3 compete against the iPhone and Android flagship smartphones already available in stores? Here’s what you can expect from it when it comes to specs and features:
- 4.3-inch touchscreen NOVA display with 800 x 480 resolution and 800 nit brightness
- 1GHZ dual-core processor
- 8-megapixel camera
- 8GB memory
- microSD card slot
- GPS
- Wi-Fi 802.11n
- Bluetooth 3.0
- HSPA+ connectivity
- Android 2.3 Gingerbread with Prada UI on top
- 1,540mAh battery
- 8.5mm profile
- minimal hardkeys
- Prada signature Saffiano pattern on the back
The Prada 3 is by no means the flgaship Android handset we expect from LG in 2012, but it’s definitely a handset that will have some success with fashion and design enthusiasts. After looking at the internal components, it’s clear the Prada 3 surpasses its predecessors and it should offer users a great Android smartphone experience, even if the device can only be considered a mid-level Android handset by 2011 standards.

So let’s hear it from you, smartphone fans, are you going to buy the Prada 3 smartphone once it hits stores or are you waiting for something better to come along?
