Ainol Novo7 Paladin Tablet Comes Available In The US Market, Brings Ice Cream Sandwich [In The US & Looking For An Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich Tablet? You Now Have An Option With The $120 Ainol Novo7 Paladin]

This is not the first time we have seen the Ainol Novo7 Paladin tablet show up, however this is the first time we are seeing it surface with a US based retailer. Of course, we should state right up front that what you are buying seems to be more for the purpose of getting ICS than it is to get a superb tablet.

In other words, yes this is an Android tablet running Android 4.0, however the specs may not be what everyone had been hoping for. Then again, we have said in the past that when buying an Android tablet — you get what you pay for. Simply put, some of these budget priced Android tablets are not quite as enjoyable to use. That being said, we have no personal hands-on experience with the Ainol Novo7 Paladin.

With that out of the way and without any further adieu, the tablet has been spotted with an online retailer called PandaWill. The tablet is priced at $119.99 and nicely done — that comes with free shipping. And that alone is better than having the device imported directly from China, as that was shown to come with a $60 shipping cost.

As for the tablet, aside from ICS, those who make the purchase can expect to get goodies such as a 7 inch (800 x 480) capacitive touchscreen display and a 1GHz Ingenic JZ4770 Xburst processor. The remaining specs for the Ainol Novo7 Paladin break down as follows;

  • 8GB of internal storage
  • Memory card slot
  • 512MB RAM
  • 5-point multi-touch
  • Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n
  • 4000 mAh battery
  • 3.5mm headphone jack
  • Measurements: 187 x 111 x 12mm

Otherwise, a few items that are missing (that some may be surprised to see missing) include a camera, GPS, Bluetooth and support for Flash. That aside though, the tablet does come with Skype, YouTube and support for 1080p video playback. And lastly, while there is not any built-in support for 3G, there is the option to add that with a 3G/WCDMA dongle.
