LG Spectrum & HTC Fireball Said to be First 4G LTE World Phones for Verizon [Upcoming LTE Android Flagship Devices Get Leaked, Release Dates Not Available At This Time]
Verizon has recently launched three impressive 4G LTE Android handsets, the Motorola Droid RAZR, the HTC Rezound and the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. They’re all flagship devices currently selling for $299.99 with new two-year contracts – although various retailers offer a lot better deals than the mobile operator.

Verizon is not going to stop launching new 4G LTE devices, and that’s only a logical remark considering that the carrier’s LTE network is already covering 200 million Americans, with more markets to get LTE support in the future, thus being one of the most important 4G networks in the country and the world.
However, none of its current 4G LTE handsets sport world phone capabilities, and today a couple of leaked documents suggest the names of the first Verizon LTE smartphones to come with world mode support: the LG Spectrum and the HTC Fireball.

The LG Spectrum, also known as the Revolution 2 in some circles, has appeared in previous leaks, and the handset is expected to offer a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 720p HD screen resolution, 8-megapixel camera with HD video recording, 4G LTE support and Android 2.3 Gingerbread. The phone could be unveiled at CES 2012 or MWC 2012 and we expect it to cost $299.99 on contract once it gets official.
The HTC Fireball is a new Android smartphone name and little is known about the device for now. The Fireball comes with a familiar model number ADR6410, when compared to the Thunderbolt AD6400 or the Rezound ADR6425, Verizon’s current HTC LTE handsets. Specs and features for the Fireball have not been leaked yet, but we expect it to be a flagship device too considering a recent report that suggested HTC will focus on quality rather than quantity and that the Android maker is interested in launching fewer devices in the year to come.
We’ll be back with more news on the Spectrum and Fireball once we have them. In the mean time let us know whether your purchased a 4G LTE device or not yet.
