LG Eclypse 4G Now Available With Bell Mobility & Virgin Mobile
If you are living in Canada and happen to be looking for an attractively priced Android smartphone with either Bell Mobility or Virgin Mobile you may be in luck as both carriers have recently released the LG Eclypse 4G smartphone.

The LG Eclypse 4G is an Android device with a 3.5 inch display and hardware slide-out QWERTY keyboard. More specifically, the Eclypse 4G is running Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread and sporting a 3.5 inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 320 x 480. As for the keyboard, that is a 4-row set-up.
And while those few details should give a clue as to the price, lets get into that before we cover the remaining specs. Beginning first with Bell Mobility, the Eclypse 4G is free on a three-year agreement. In addition, Bell has the handset priced at $199.95, $224.95 and $249.95 on a two-year, one-year and no-term agreement. Bottom line, while there are technically four options here, given the difference between, we suspect most will opt either for the three-year or no-term options.

Moving over to Virgin Mobile and we see some similarities in price, however the three-year agreement pricing is more expensive as compared with Bell. Virgin Mobile Canada has the Eclypse 4G priced at $49.99 on a three-year agreement. And as for that no-term price, Virgin Mobile is matching Bell at $249.99.
Otherwise, as implied by the name, the LG Eclypse 4G is a ’4G’ device. Or more accurately, the handset will take advantage of the respective HSPA+ networks which offer speeds of up to 14.4Mbps. In addition, the handset has 1GB of RAM, a microSD card slot, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a 5 megapixel camera with digital zoom, flash and 720p HD video recording. The Eclypse 4G measures in at 121.2 x 63.4 x 12.95mm and weighs in at 168 grams. And lastly, the handset ships with a 4GB microSD card included in the box.
