Origin 40% Off Sale Going On Now
December may be all about gathering with family and friends to celebrate the end of another year, but for many people, December can also be a major drain on the wallet. This, of course, leaves gamers in a bind when looking to buy a new game, but thankfully, there’s normally plenty of sales to take advantage of throughout the month.

If you need a new game but you find yourself a little bit short on cash, you’ll want to head over to Origin, where Electronic Arts is currently holding a 40% off sale. Yeah, we know that a lot of you don’t like Origin, but if you don’t mind installing a new launcher or ordering a few console games through EA’s service, you’ll find that there’s a lot of tempting discounts on some pretty big games.
It seems that most EA-published games have been discounted in this sale, and while there’s far too many to list here, here’s some of the more attractive offers:
- Battlefield 3 – $35.99 (Xbox 360, PS3, PC)
- FIFA Soccer 12 – $35.99 (Xbox 360, PS3), $23.99 (PC, Wii, 3DS, PS2, PSP)
- Madden NFL 12 – $35.99 (Xbox 360, PS3), $29.99 (Wii), $23.99 (PS2, PSP)
- Batman: Arkham City – $29.99 (PC)
- Need For Speed: The Run – $35.99 (Xbox 360, PS3), $29.99 (PC, Wii), $23.99 (3DS)
- Alice: Madness Returns – $23.99 (Xbox 360, PS3), $17.99 (PC)
Again, that’s just a small sampling of everything that’s available at 40% off, with the Mass Effect series, The Sims 3 and its various expansions, the Crysis series, and the Dead Space series all seeing their prices slashed. This promotion will only be available until the end of the day, so if there’s a deal that’s caught your eye, you need to act fast.
So, how about it? Are any of you going to buy something in this sudden Origin sale, or are you still staying away from Origin? Head down to the comments section to share your thoughts!
