Diablo III Opening Cinematic Now Available
A couple of months ago, during Blizzard’s BlizzCon 2011 event, we showed you a Diablo III cinematic, “The Black Soulstone,” and now we have one more clip from the upcoming epic game for you. This time around we’re looking at the full opening cinematic for the game, which already hit YouTube in time for the recently ended Spike TV Video Gaming Awards.

Blizzard has failed to really offer future Diablo III buyers more details about the game. In fact, here’s how the company describes the new cinematic on its YouTube channel:
When Diablo III is released and you finally embark on your next great adventure, you’ll enjoy a cinematic experience that’ll set the stage for your impending journey through Sanctuary and your fight against the evils of the Burning Hells. We’re very pleased to present you with that full opening cinematic, as premiered during the 2011 Spike TV Video Game Awards.
The 2:48 minute video, embedded below, shows us the beginning of the game. The characters realize that evil has not been completely vanquished and that there’s more to come in the future. Unfortunately the old Cain passes away during the short clip – or so does Blizzard wants us to believe – and it will be his niece’s mission to continue fighting evil.
Diablo III is one of the most expected Blizzard-made games, one that has been delayed for far too long already, depending on who you ask. The game is going to be released at an unspecified date in the first quarter of next year and it will be launched with both Mac OS X and Windows support. So far we know the game has passed a closed beta and that Blizzard is going to offer a special package to hardcore gamers next year. The game will be available free of charge when purchased with a one-year World of Warcraft subscription, an announcement Blizzard made during its BlizzCon conference earlier this year.
