Barnes & Noble Announces Latest Nook Color Software Update

Barnes & Noble has announced the latest software update for the Nook Color. The update is beginning to roll-out as of today, December 12th and will bring your ereading tablet up to version 1.4.1. And similar to previous Nook Color software updates, those with a device in-hand will want to be on the lookout for the little green “n” in the left side status bar.

Yup, version 1.4.1 is rolling out on a gradual basis so it may or may not be ready for your specific device as of today. More specifically, Barnes & Noble has stated that “the software will be downloaded to your device in a rolling update over the next week and automatically install when the device is idle.” As for looking for that little green “n” — that will let you know the update has been installed.

That said, while you can sit back, wait and not have to do anything to get this update — we suspect some will want it now. And thankfully, Barnes & Noble is offering the option to do just that.
