Samsung Galaxy S Glide Gets A Drastic Price Cut With Rogers
Rogers may have only recently launched the Samsung Galaxy S Glide smartphone, however that does not seem to have stopped them from coming back with a rather dramatic price cut.

If you remember back, the rumors for this handset began back in September, however the launch did not come until mid-November. Basically, the handset has only been available for a few weeks time. And at that time, the Galaxy S Glide was priced at $149.99 on a three-year agreement.
Effective immediately, the handset has been dropped all the way down to $0.01. In other words, it is almost free. Of course, that is along with a three-year agreement still. But that is something that is almost a given — contracts and discounted smartphones. Otherwise, no mention as to why the sudden drop in price. And also worth noting, the two-year, one-year and no-term pricing remains the same — $449.99, $499.99 and $549.99 respectively.
That all being said, in terms of the device itself, while it seemed to be fairly nicely priced at $149.99 the deal sounds that much sweeter when you are only shelling out one penny to make the purchase. In terms of the specs, those include a 4 inch (400 x 800) touchscreen display, slide-out hardware QWERTY, dual-core 1.2GHz processor, 4GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headphone jack, GPS, 1.2 megapixel front-facing camera, 8 megapixel rear-facing camera and Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
And lastly, it looks like the Galaxy S Glide is still eligible for the Rogers Tablet/Smartphone offer in which you get a free Galaxy Tab tablet when you activate any two “of the hottest new smartphones on a Rogers Family Plan.” Or for those only in need of one phone, you can do that, except the tablet will be $149.99 instead of free. Bottom line, those looking for a tablet and a smartphone with Rogers can now score a Galaxy S Glide and Galaxy Tab for $150.
