Samsung Galaxy Nexus Now Available In Canada
We are still watching the rumor train spin out of control in terms of the US launch of the Galaxy Nexus, however it looks like the handset has since launched north of the border. Yup, those in Canada can buy a Galaxy Nexus smartphone as of today, December 8th.

Of course, we were expecting this to happen so it actually comes as less of a surprise and more of a nice confirmation. That being said, the Galaxy Nexus has come available with two carriers — Bell Mobility and Virgin Mobile.
And in terms of pricing, both carriers have it the same. Well, almost the same anyway. With Bell Mobility, the Galaxy Nexus will set you back $159.95 and with Virgin Mobile the handset will set you back $159.99. Basically a difference of four cents. Otherwise, both of those prices assume a three-year agreement.
In terms of full retail no-contract pricing, Virgin Mobile has the handset listed at $649.99. In the case of Bell, at least as of this moment there is nothing aside from a three-year deal. Hopefully that will change in time. Of course, on the flip side, we suspect most will want the handset with a three-year agreement anyway.
With that, while we have seen and discussed the Galaxy Nexus quite a few times in the lead-up to this release — now that the handset is available a quick recap on the specs seems to be in order. That said, the Galaxy Nexus brings features to include a 4.65 inch (1280 x 720) Super AMOLED display, dual-core 1.2GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Other specs include a front-facing 1.3 megapixel camera, a rear-facing 5 megapixel camera with auto-focus and flash, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headphone jack, GPS, Near Field Communication (NFC) and a 175 mAh battery. And lastly, the handset will come with support for the respective HSPA+ networks.
