$99 HP TouchPad Firesale to Restart on December 11, Various Conditions Apply

HP Seems to Have More HP webOS Tablets to go Around, New Sale Period Kicks Off Next Week

You didn’t think HP completely ran out of cheap TouchPad webOS tablets, did you? No matter how you answer that question the fact still remains that the company will have more uber-affordable TouchPad units to sell in time for Christmas as HP has officially announced that starting with December 11 it will kick off a new TouchPad firesale period.

There are various terms and conditions that apply, so go grab your reading glasses. It appears that this time around we’re looking at refurbished units only. Yes, they still sell for $99 and $149, the 16GB and 32GB version, respectively, while supply lasts, but they’ll be available only from one source, the company’s eBay store. That means you’ll have to open an eBay account, in case you don’t already have one and hope you’ll be quick enough to snatch one.

The sale begins on Sunday, starting with 6:00 PM CST and it will go on until the company finish the current stock of refurbished models. However, HP did not mention how many units it has left, so you’ll have to hurry to get your order in.

The other catch? You’ll have to be an HP employee to purchase a tablet on Sunday, while the general public will be able to get a heavily discounted TouchPad next Monday. And you’ll be limited to two devices per eBay account, in case you were planning to purchase the whole stock.

Since these are refurbished units, they will come with 90-day warranty, although at this price it’s not like you could really ask for more. To sweeten the deal, HP is ready to sell a 3-piece Accessory bundle that includes a Case, Charging Dock and Wireless Keyboard for just $79 instead of the regular $199.97.

Let’s hear it from you, bargain enthusiasts, are you still interested in TouchPad firesales? Will you try to get your tablet starting with Sunday afternoon?
