Asus Transformer Prime Will Be Available In The US On December 8th
There had been some speculation in terms of when Asus was planning to release the Transformer Prime tablet here in the US. The potential dates were coming by way of pre-order listings from sites such as Amazon and Newegg and hinted at the availability coming soon. And well, it looks like Asus has officially confirmed that date.

Yup, Asus has come forward with news of the Transformer Prime release dates. And by dates we are referring to different markets. In terms of when, those in Taiwan will have first dibs when the tablet goes on sale beginning tomorrow — December 1st.
Moving to other areas that have been confirmed and we learn that the Newegg listing was indeed correct — the Transformer Prime will be available for those in the US beginning on December 8th. Of course, we suspect that many who are excited have already moved forward with a pre-order. And last but certainly not least, those in Europe will have to wait a bit long. According to the details on this one, the tablet is not expected to arrive until sometime in January.

Bottom line, things look good for those in the US (and Taiwan) in terms of having a Transformer Prime in-hand and ready as a holiday gift. And on the flip side, those in Europe will just have to buy for themselves after the holiday madness goes away. Just remember to set aside some money before the holidays drain your accounts.
Otherwise, the tablet will bring features to include a 10.1 inch (1280 x 800) Wide XGA touchscreen display, 1.3GHz NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor, 1GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, front-facing 1.2 megapixel camera, a rear-facing 8 megapixel camera and Android 3.2 Honeycomb. In addition, some of the other specs include GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1, a 3.5mm headphone jack, G-Sensor, E-Compass, Light Sensor and Gyroscope.
And lastly, the Transformer Prime is selling for $499.
