Victini Available For Pokémon Black & White Next Month

Just admit it already: you love Pokémon and you’ve been kicking yourself for missing the chance to get Victini after Pokémon Black and White launched. The legendary fire and psychic Pokémon was offered earlier this year, but was only available to early adopters of Pokémon Black and White, meaning that many Black and White players missed that short window of opportunity.

If you’re one of these people, then you’re being given a second chance. Nintendo and Game Freak are making the cute little monster available once more starting next month. What’s the occasion? Why, the US theatrical release of Pokémon the Movie: White – Victini and Zekrom, of course. The strangley-titled movie will be playing in 375 theaters across the US for just two days, December 3rd and December 4th (that’s this weekend, Pokéfreaks).

Victini will be available starting December 3rd, but luckily he’ll be available for a little bit longer than the movie, with Nintendo’s Victini promotion lasting until December 31st. Even better is the fact that you won’t have to risk being seen downloading a Pokémon at GameStop or Toys R Us, because Nintendo and Game Freak will be distributing Victini through the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.

This particular Victini will arrive at level 50, and comes with Reshiram and Zekrom’s signature moves: Fusion Flare and Fusion Bolt. It also knows V-Create and Searing Shot – two additional fire type moves – and is holding a Fire Gem, which gives a one time boost to the power of any fire attack. All in all, Victini makes for a solid legendary Pokémon, but I tend to stray away from using legendaries while playing through the game, meaning that my Victini has spent a long time in a PC box.
