Ubisoft Possibly Researching New Call Of Juarez Game [New Survey Suggests That Ubisoft & Techland Are Looking Into A New Call Of Juarez Game]
Ubisoft broke a lot of hearts when it released Call of Juarez: The Cartel earlier this year. Even though the Call of Juarez series was never really been a blockbuster game series, the first two Call of Juarez games still pulled in a healthy amount of fans. It looked like Ubisoft and Techland were onto something with the Call of Juarez games, but unfortunately, Call of Juarez: The Cartel was viewed by many fans and critics as step back for the Call of Juarez series.

If you were disappointed by the latest Call of Juarez game, then you’ll want to pay attention, because it looks like Ubisoft is trying to get the series back on track. The publisher has been sending around a new survey that asks gamers what kind of scenarios they’d like to see in an “as of yet unannounced game.” Have a look at the list of choices:
- Hunting an outlaw in the rocky mountains
- Defending a ranch attacked by Mexican pistolleros
- Preventing a bank robbery
- Rescuing an innocent man about to be hanged up
- Taking part in a shooting contest
- A gun duel in the empty main street of a town against your worst enemy
- Guarding a fort against a group of outlaws
- Helping a man to escape from the sheriff’s office
- Defending a train attacked by Native Americans on horses
- A gunfight in a saloon after a poker game
- Preventing outlaws from pillaging a gold mine
- A fusillade between lawmen and outlaws
All of those scenarios sound like they would fit right in with a wild west setting, which leads people to believe that a new Call of Juarez game is in development. Of course, nothing is set in stone yet, and with Techland’s current obligation to Dead Island, it might be a while before we get any word on a new Call of Juarez game. Would Techland even be interested in another one after the less-than-stellar reception of Call of Juraez: The Cartel?
Only time will tell, but for now head down to the comments section and tell us what you think – do you think Ubisoft is planning another Call of Juarez game? Would you like to see a new title in the franchise, or do you think it’s time for Ubisoft and Techland to move on? Leave a comment with your thoughts below and keep it tuned here to TFTS – we’ll update once we hear more from Ubisoft!
