BLACK FRIDAY: HTC Radar 4G, HTC Trophy, HTC Arrive Free From the Microsoft Store

Microsoft Store Black Friday Deals Include Free HTC Radar 4G for T-Mobile, HTC Trophy for Verizon Wireless & HTC Arrive for Sprint

Have you gone out shopping this Black Friday yet? While you have all weekend to get those discounts, you might not be so sure of prices. The Microsoft Store for one, is offering deals on gadgets, games and software, and here are some details on their free Windows Phone 7 smartphone offerings.

We earlier shared a few details about Microsoft’s ongoing Black Friday sale at Microsoft retail stores (all 14 of them so far). These include $200 off on Xbox 360 bundles, just $100 on a Kinect, $400 off on notebook computers, discounts on Xbox LIVE memberships and Xbox games and more. But while Microsoft did not share details about its smartphone offerings. Now we have a few details, and Windows Phone 7 enthusiasts will find one for most of the bigger telecom networks.

Microsoft’s free Windows Phone 7 handsets are the following:

  • HTC Radar 4G for T-Mobile. The radar was launched at $99.99 earlier this month, so this means Black friday gets you about a hundred bucks off this 4G Windows Phone 7 handset running Mango, and with dual-cameras with dual-LED flash.
  • HTC Trophy for Verizon Wireless. Verizon’s first WP7 phone ever, the Trophy launched in June this year, and which the TFTS team reviewed earlier this year. Launched at $150 at that time with contract, this means you get as much in discounts this Black Friday, although it’s not the latest, greatest Windows Phone.
  • HTC Arrive for Sprint. Likewise launched early 2011, the HTC Arrive was also launched at $150, and had been upgraded to Mango mid-year.

These handsets come with two-year service contracts, and are valid for new subscriptions. Of course, aside from these Windows Phone 7 free offers, there are also a few other smartphone offers this Black Friday.
