BLACK FRIDAY: Microsoft Store Offers Free Windows Phones, $100 Kinect, Game & Office Software Discounts

Microsoft is making a big push to promote its retail stores, which carry various products, such as peripherals, Windows-powered notebook computers, Xbox 360 consoles, games, software, and the like. This Black Friday, the Microsoft Store is offering big discounts.

Microsoft is opening hundreds of stores around the country and around the world. And while it’s not currently as popular as Apple’s own retail stores, Microsoft does carry decent products, including devices and software. Their Black Friday begins midnight this Friday, November 25, and Microsoft says they’re “Black Friday deals with no crowd-fighting required.”

The Microsoft store Black Friday deals involve a few notebook computers, console games, software bundles, Kinect sensors, and peripherals. Here are a few highlights:

• $300 off on a Samsung RC512 Windows 7 powered notebook computer. Price is reduced from $799 to $499.
• $400 off on a Sony S137GX Notebook computer. Price reduced from $999 to $599.
• $400 savings on an Acer Iconia dual-screen Touchbook. Price reduced from $999 to $599.
• $99.99 for a Kinect sensor.
• $200 discount on an Xbox 360 Ultimate Gaming Bundle.
• $30 off on Microsoft Office Home and Student edition. Price is reduced from $149.99 to $119.99. Get an additional $10 discount when purchasing with a computer.
• $40 off on Office for Mac.
• 25% discount on mobile and computer accessories, using coupon code “SAVE25″ at checkout.
• $20 off on select Xbox games, including MAdden 2012, Halo Anniversary and the like. A full list of game discounts can be found on Microsoft’s Facebook page.
• $50 to $100 off on Xbox 360 consoles and bundles.
• Free Windows Phone 7 handset with a two-year contract (handset and carrier not yet specified, though).

These are almost 40% discount on some computer packages, which might come in handy for students or professionals looking for new Windows notebook computers. Meanwhile, console gamers will find the Xbox 360 bundles, Kinect sensor and game deals interesting. And if you’re on the lookout for a cheap Windows Phone, this might be the right time to buy one. Offers are valid until 11:59 PM PST on Monday, November 28.
