Last week we began hearing rumors that the Galaxy Nexus was going to launch with Verizon Wireless on December 8th. And well, it looks like that release date has been confirmed by another carrier — Bell Mobility.

Yup, Bell Mobility has come forward with their release date and pricing information for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus smartphone. In short, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich will be available for those in Canada beginning on December 8th. Well, that is assuming they are willing to go with Bell as a carrier anyway.

In addition to the December 8th release date, Bell was also kind enough to offer up some pricing. The Galaxy Nexus will be selling for $159.95 on a three-year agreement. And for those who are feeling like they need to make the commitment now, rest assured in knowing that pre-orders will be opened as of today.

That being said, Bell also has another plan, one that they are calling the “Bell Twitter Line-up” which will guarantee that 100 people will have the handset delivered on December 8th. The details for the Bell Twitter Line-up break down as follows;

For those who want to ensure they’re first to have Galaxy Nexus, the Bell Twitter Line-up runs from 10am to 10pm EST on December 1. Believed to be a first of its kind online purchasing opportunity, the Bell Twitter Line-up guarantees 100 eligible people a Galaxy Nexus shipped to their address on launch day December 8.
Simply log-in between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. on December 1 and sign-up to get a pre-populated Tweet and secure place in the virtual line. Places 1 to 100 need to return to the page once every hour before 10 p.m. and send out the latest tweet. When completed successfully, Bell will get in touch on shipping and other arrangements.
