Telltale Employees Caught Reviewing Jurassic Park On Metacritic
Well folks, Jurassic Park: The Game has finally arrived, and even though it definitely looked awesome in the lead up to its release, the reception it’s garnering hasn’t been the greatest. There aren’t that many reviews for Jurassic Park: The Game up on Metacritic at the moment, but the scores that are up range from mediocre to bad.

However, the user scores are a different story. Many users have expressed their distaste for the game, but a select few have given Jurassic Park a perfect 10 out of 10 score. Big time Jurassic Park fan? Guess again – as it turns out, some of those users that seem to be completely enamored with Jurassic Park are actually Telltale employees.
The ruse was discovered by GameSpot, which did a Google search for the user names attached to those suspicious reviews. It wasn’t long after that it discovered at least two of the reviewers worked at Telltale, one is an interface artist and the other is a cinematic artist.
When confronted about the bogus reviews by GameSpot, here’s what Telltale had to say:
Telltale Games do not censor or muzzle its employees in what they post on the internet. However, it is being communicated internally that anyone who posts in an industry forum will acknowledge that they are a Telltale employee. In this instance, two people who were proud of the game they worked on, posted positively on Metacritic under recognizable online forum and XBLA account names.
The only problem is that I doubt the majority of people that read the Metacritic page for Jurassic Park actually visit the Telltale forums enough to recognize those usernames as belonging to a Telltale employee. I guess it’s good that Telltale fessed up, but like the employee reviews for Dragon Age 2, it still seems pretty deceptive to me.
What do you think about this whole ordeal? Do you think these Telltale employees should be reprimanded for reviewing the game they had a hand in creating? Head down to the comments section and share your thoughts!

Nah, if they were from the marketing department I would understand, but they just worked on the game no harm in voicing their opinion. 2 reviews will hardly make a positive impact on the selling of a game if everybody else didn’t like it.
Fair enough. I tend to agree. Just because you work at the company doesn’t mean you can’t talk about that company’s product in a positive light.
I think it would have better if they would have made it clear that they work at Telltale, however.
