Samsung Galaxy S Glide Now Available With Rogers
We saw the previous leaks and rumors surrounding the Samsung Galaxy S Glide with Rogers, and well, coming as of today — we have an official announcement. And nicely done, that announcement comes with word of an immediate availability.

Yup, Samsung and Rogers have announced the Galaxy S Glide smartphone and the handset is already available for purchase. Those interested can head on over to the Rogers website, make a purchase and have the device shipped now. With that, before anyone runs to make a purchase, lets get into the pricing information as well as the specs.
“The premium, 4G enabled Samsung Galaxy S Glide⢠has landed exclusively at Rogers Communications Inc. With a Super AMOLED touch screen, side slide QWERTY keyboard and Android 2.3 OS, this smartphone offers Canadians ultra-fast surfing and complete connectivity.”
In terms of the price, the Galaxy S Glide is $149.99 with a three-year agreement. And as we just about always find, there is the option to narrow down that commitment in exchange for shelling out a bit more money upfront. In the case of the Galaxy S Glide, the two-year price is $449.99, the one-year price is $499.99 and the no-term pricing is $549.99.

Moving past the pricing and into the specs. The Galaxy S Glide features begin with 4G (HSPA+) connectivity, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, a 4 inch (400 x 800) touchscreen display and a slide-out hardware QWERTY keyboard. In addition, the handset also has a dual-core 1.2GHz processor, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack, a microSD card slot, 4GB of internal storage, front-facing 1.2 megapixel camera and a rear-facing 8 megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom and video recording.
Of course, Rogers also has the Samsung Galaxy S II LTE for those looking for a bit more in terms of connectivity. Or vice verse, for those who are looking for a Samsung made Android smartphone and prefer not to have a hardware keyboard. And just for reference, the Galaxy S II LTE will set you back $179.99 on a three-year agreement.
