AT&T Offers Up Release Date & Pricing Info For The Pantech Pocket
AT&T originally announced the Pantech Pocket back in mid-October, and well, that announcement included five devices in total and offered the basic details. In other words, while they were announcing the handset, they kept the release date and the price a secret. But that being said, as of today AT&T has come forward with those missing details.

Well, the missing details for the Pantech Pocket anyway. Bottom line here, the handset will be available beginning on November 20th and it will come priced at $49.99. And to further detail that price, that comes along with a two-year agreement. And from what we have seen thus far, it looks like AT&T is really playing up that unique design.
“Pocket immediately stands out from the crowd of black glass handsets currently on shelves, while exceeding our customers’ entertainment and social media expectations,” said Wyatt Whaley, Vice President of Product Planning for Pantech Wireless. “Pantech has earned a great reputation for its dedication to providing new and fresh mobile experiences – and with a dramatically wider screen, 4G speeds and a healthy dose of customization, Pocket expands on that commitment.”
As for the device itself, the features include a 4 inch (600 x 800) SVGA touchscreen display with a 4:3 aspect ratio. And according to AT&T, that will make it “perfect for watching videos, gaming, e-reading, navigation, web browsing and more.” Otherwise, the specs for the Pantech Pocket spell out as follows — Android 2.3 Gingerbread, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, roughly 600MB of internal storage, a 2GB microSD card and a 5 megapixel camera on the back with a flash and HD video recording.
As for size, the handset measures in at 114.7 x 78 x 11.3mm and weighs in at 4.66 ounces. Other perks that one can expect with the Pocket include what AT&T describes as an “easy-to-grip, durable exterior that is scratch resistant.”
