Samsung Galaxy Nexus UK Release Date Is December 2 According to Amazon
The fact that Verizon is still unable or unwilling to announce the launch date of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone may be seen as an indication that there’s something wrong with the device that needs addressing before the public can get their hands on it.

In fact, that’s what a recent report suggested, although the carrier is yet to confirm such rumors. At the same time Big Red may be interested in selling as many Motorola Droid RAZR and HTC Rezound units as possible before it starts promoting the next Nexus phone.
By comparison, European carriers, or at least some of them, are going to launch the device at some point in the following days, but that may not be the case for Amazon UK. The giant electronics retailer is listing a December 2 release date for the device, which is certainly surprising.
The device is available for pre-order already, and it costs £519.99 unlocked. Those UK customers interested in getting their Galaxy Nexus with a contract should head to Three or O2 to order theirs bundled with a new 24-month agreement.
The phone will offer you a 4.65-inch Super AMOLED curved touchscreen display with 1,280 x 720 resolution, 1.2GHz TI OMAP 4460 dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, up to 32GB of memory, 5-megapixel camera with auto focus and 1,080p HD video recording, 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, USB 2.0, microUSB, GPS, and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The European version will come with HSPA+ support instead of 4G LTE and it will offer up to 21.1Mbps HSDPA+ download speeds and up to 5.76Mbps HSUPA download speeds.
Let’s hear it from UK Android fans, are you going to buy the Galaxy Nexus in the following days or will you get a different smartphone this Christmas? Anyone ordering the device from Amazon?
