PlayStation Move's Sorcery Still Exists
During the lead up to the launches of Kinect and PlayStation Move last year, enthusiastic players and motion control naysayers alike say some pretty impressive tech demos and games. Fast forward to the end of 2011, and it seems like some of those games we saw prior to the launches of the peripherals seem to have faded into the shadows.

One of those games is Sorcery for the PlayStation Move. First unveiled at E3 2010, Sorcery wowed a fair few people, but we aren’t hearing much about it these days. Some thought that maybe it was stuck in development hell while others simply forgot about it altogether.
If you were looking forward to Sorcery after first seeing it, then you’ll be pleased to know that no, Sorcery hasn’t been cancelled and it probably isn’t in development hell – it still exists. At least, that’s what Sony told IGN, with Eric Levine saying, “Yes, Sorcery is still in development and we’re very excited to show everyone how this PlayStation Move exclusive game is coming along.”
Levine also said that a fully playable build of Sorcery will be on hand at Sony’s Holiday Showcase next month, so those of you waiting for some more information about the game will get it then.
I don’t know about you, but this sounds great to me. Seeing Sorcery on display at E3 2010 was what sparked my interested in the Move, and after seeing what the Move is capable of in Sorcery and first-person shooters makes me tempted to say that Move is a better motion control peripheral than Kinect. Then again, both will need to attract more innovative games before a victor can be decided for sure.
