Spotify Tipped As Coming To Belgium, Austria and Switzerland "This Week"
Spotify launched for those in the US several months back, after which we saw more than a few reports of how quickly they were adding paying customers. And, while the Spotify related news has continued to trickle in, it now looks like they are about to expand into three additional countries.

But that being said, the details that we have seen thus far have yet to be confirmed by Spotify. In fact, the details are coming by way of a paidContent report, which rather simply states that;
“Spotify is ready to launch in Belgium, Austria and Switzerland, possibly as early as this week, paidContent understands.”
And as one would expect, Spotify has yet to confirm and/or deny the report and instead have offered up the following in response.
“We are working hard to launch the service in Austria, Switzerland and Belgium as soon as possible.”
Sort of sounds like an unofficial confirmation if you ask us. Otherwise, in addition to Austria, Belgium and Switzerland — Spotify is also expected to be coming available for those in Australia, Germany, Hong Kong and New Zealand in the near-term future. In short, Spotify is going to continue rolling-out on a global basis and it seems that the only real question remaining is when as opposed to where. With that, those in the Austria, Belgium and Switzerland who happen to be interested in checking out Spotify may want to pay close attention to the news this week.
And lastly, in addition to Spotify, it looks like several other competing services are planning global roll-outs. So far we have seen some details in terms of Rdio, Rhapsody, Deezer and We7. There is also some chatter in terms of Pandora, however nothing solid just yet. As for Rdio, they look to be heading to Australia and Germany. And Rhapsody, while they may be expanding, it looks like that will be done by way of partnerships.
