HP TouchPad Returns To TigerDirect
Well look what we have here — another round of HP TouchPad tablets. This latest is another offer from TigerDirect and similar to the other offers that we have seen recently, this one comes with a catch. Or more specifically, it comes with two catches.

And for those who may have missed those other offers, this one is likely to go rather quickly. In other words, continue reading this post for the details, but try and read quickly. That being said, the TouchPad that TigerDirect is offering is the 32GB model and they have it priced at $149.99.
In terms of those two catches, those come in the form of a mail-in rebate and a required purchase of an HP computer. The rebate is for $150, which means that you will need to shell out $299.99 for the TouchPad (plus the cost of the HP computer). According to the fine print on the TigerDirect website;
Special Instructions: Qualifying purchase is an (1) HP Touchpad and (1) New HP Laptop, Desktop or Workstation on the same receipt. Each qualifying purchase equals (1) $150.00 Rebate Amount.
With that, those who were not scared off by the required rebate and the need to purchase an HP branded computer — follow this link to the TigerDirect website and get started on the purchase.
Otherwise, the TouchPad features bring a 9.7 inch display, dual-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 32GB of storage space, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS and webOS 3.0. Of course, those who prefer Android, or simply like to tinker with things — there is the option to install Android by way of CyanogenMod 7.
Bottom line here, this is certainly not the $99 and $149 fire-sale-priced TouchPad tablet that we saw people going crazy for a short while back, however this may be one of the last times you are going to have the option to purchase a brand new TouchPad.

You are nearly right. You have to spend at least $600 and wait for your $300 rebate. The rebate only applies when you buy the Touchpad in conjunction with a HP laptop or desktop PC. Then you get two $150 rebates; one for the PC and one for the tablet.
