Bloodbath Arena DLC Hits Dead Island Next Week

Bloodbath Arena DLC Coming To Dead Island Next Week, Free To Those Who Bought Pre-Order Edition

Well, the day for Dead Island‘s first DLC is very nearly here. After suffering a few set backs in favor of Deep Silver and Techland fixing issues with the base game, they’ve finally given a release date for their Bloodbath Arena DLC, and its launch is just around the corner. Head past the break for all the details.

So, for those of you hankering for more Dead Island content, Bloodbath Arena will be out on November 22nd, just over a week from now. If you pre-ordered the game, you won’t have to pay anything for Bloodbath Arena, while all others will have to pay $9.99 or 800 MSP.

It’s a good deal for those who pre-ordered the game, but for those who didn’t, the actual worth of Bloodbath Arena is another matter entirely. After all, Bloodbath Arena adds four arena maps where you and your friends can face down endless waves of zombies. This kind of “fight until you die” gameplay is always a blast, but with only one game mode added and no story content to be seen, is it worth that $10?

If you decide that it is worth that much, then you’ll be pleased to know that you can play all four maps in either single player or co-op mode, and that all of the experience you earn and all of the items you pick up can be applied and used by your character in the main campaign, so at least there’s some benefit to the main storyline with this DLC.

What do you think? Are you all about Dead Island‘s Bloodbath Arena DLC, or is it a no go for you? Are you still playing Dead Island with all of the new releases that have hit shelves recently, or have you moved onto new games?
