Verizon Wireless Will Continue The 4G LTE Roll-Out In November & December
When we last heard from Verizon, they had been touting how their 4G LTE network was rolling-out ahead of schedule. In fact, it was late-October when they announced that they were already ahead of where they had expected to be by years end. And well, coming as promised, Verizon has detailed which cities will be getting the coverage next.

But first, the when — the next phase(s) of the 4G LTE network roll-out will take place on November 17th and then about a month later on December 15th. According to the details coming from Verizon, the coverage will go live in select areas of Virginia, Pennsylvania and Ohio.
Virginia — November 17th
- Roanoke
Pennsylvania — December 15th
- Indiana
- White Township (including the Indiana University of PA campus)
- Homer City
- Blairsville
Ohio — December 15th
- Arcadia East
- Austintown
- Boardman
- Campbell
- Canfield
- Carey
- Findlay
- Fostoria
- McDonald
- Niles
- Poland
- Struthers
- Tiffin
- Warren
- Youngstown
Otherwise, Verizon had this to note about the coverage numbers;
As of November 17 when the southwest Virginia area comes online, Verizon Wireless’ 4G LTE network will be available in more than 178 markets nationwide covering more than 186 million Americans. Verizon Wireless was the first to deploy a nationwide 4G LTE network when it launched in December 2010 in 38 cities with coverage available to 110 million Americans. At that time, the company announced an aggressive goal of bringing its 4G LTE network to more than 185 million Americans by the end of 2011. Less than one year later, the company has surpassed its goal.
And in terms of devices, Verizon is currently offering 15 including the Samsung Stratosphere, Pantech Breakout, Droid Bionic and the newly available Motorola Droid RAZR. Also worth noting, the HTC Rezound is scheduled for release on November 14th.
Bottom line, while the 4G LTE network is certainly now available for everyone just yet, at least we are seeing it roll-out not only according to, but ahead of the schedule. Of course, that probably does little to help those who may not see coverage for another year or so.
