Samsung Illusion Spec Sheet Leaks, Suggests A Verizon Release Is Coming Soon

We have not seen all that much in terms of the Samsung Illusion smartphone up until this point. Not to mention, it seems like it has been a little while since we last mentioned it. But that being said, the Verizon Wireless device overview page for the Illusion smartphone has recently leaked.

The sheet offers a brief look at the specs along with the talking points for the Verizon reps. But perhaps a bit more important — this leak suggests that a release is coming sooner rather than later. Anyway, up first, the specs.

The Samsung Illusion will feature the following;

• 3.5 inch HVGA (480 x 320) TFT display
• 1GHz Samsung Hummingbird processor
• 512MB RAM
• 2GB internal storage
• 2GB of microSD card storage
• 3 megapixel rear facing camera
• 1500 mAh battery
• Android 2.3 Gingerbread

In addition, it was noted that the Illusion will measure in at 114.4 x 59.9 x 11.7 mm and weigh in at 120 grams. All said and done, nothing over the top in terms of the specs, however that just means it should arrive with nothing over the top in terms of price. Bottom line, the Samsung Illusion looks like it will fill in the mid-range device lineup and give another option in terms of getting Gingerbread without having to spend a fortune.

As for those talking points, nothing surprising on that front. The points appear to be nothing more than Verizon touting features such as how “smartphone owners will appreciate the Illusion’s compact design, rounded corners and textured soft-touch back.” And well, maybe that does sound somewhat appealing.

So how about it Verizon, are you ready to make this all official and offer up something in terms of a release date and price? And lastly, in terms of the rumor mill, that is suggesting the Verizon is planning to release the Samsung Illusion later this month.
