Saints Row: The Third Season Pass Detailed
Just like the idea of downloadable content caught on like wildfire in 2006, the idea of selling bundles of DLC at a discount seems to be catching on as well. Season pass is the name of the game, and as we approach the end of this console generation, we’re seeing more and more developers and publishers jump on the season pass bandwagon.

The latest duo to do so is Volition and THQ – today they detailed the season pass players will be able to buy for Saints Row: The Third. Saint Row’s season pass is priced at $19.99 and will net you the Nyte Blayde pack, the contents of which can be seen above. I don’t care what you say about vampires, that car is sleek.
In addition to Nyte Blayde pack, players who buy the season pass will also be given access to the Genkibowl VII pack, out in January, Gangstas in Space, which is scheduled for a Q1 release, and finally The Trouble With Clones, which won’t be out until sometime in Q2. When everything is said and done, players will have saved a total of 15% off the sticker price.
Call me a naysayer, but a 15% discount seems a little small for committing to DLC players don’t even know will be good. Then again, if you know in your heart of hears that you’ll love Saints Row: The Third and will buy all of the DLC Volition and THQ release, then this makes for a pretty nice deal. After all, what’s life without a little risk now and then?
What do you think of season passes? Do you think they’re a good idea, or are they just a way to net players into committing to DLC that might turn out to be a little less-than-stellar? Head down to the comments section below to share you opinion!
