Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge Set To Launch Alongside Wii U

Temco Koei Announces That Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge Will Be A Wii U Launch Title

Are you ready for some Wii U news? It’s been quite a while since we’ve heard anything from the Wii U – in fact, news is so sparse that I tend to forget that the Wii U is actually a thing. Anyway, those hoping for some Mature-rated offerings on Nintendo’s next console will be pleased to hear that Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge will be a Wii U launch title.

Of course, you probably shouldn’t get too excited since we don’t know exactly when the Wii U will launch or if it will even be worth your time, but rest assured, if you’re planning on buying a Wii U, Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge will be launching with it, so you’ll have at least one cool game to play.

Also unknown is how the Wii U version will be different from its Xbox 360 and PS3 brethren. Perhaps it won’t be any different and just end up as a straight port, but the “Razor’s Edge” subtitle seems to imply that Wii U players will be getting a different version than Xbox 360 and PS3 players.

In any case, Temco Koei is planning on having Ninja Gaiden 3 ready for the Wii U launch in at least some capacity. This commitment to the Wii U launch might do something to instill a least a little confidence in Nintendo’s investors and other third party developers. Then again, if Ninja Gaiden 3 turns out to be a terrible game, it won’t do anything but fester on all platforms.

Naturally, this is all speculation until we actually get our hands on the Wii U and see how it performs, and that’s an event that’s still quite a ways off. What do you think? Is Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge launch with the Wii U a good thing, or are you still a little uneasy about the Wii U?
