Bell Officially Launches The Motorola PRO+ 4G Smartphone
Bell Mobility officially announced the Motorola PRO+ 4G smartphone back on October 25th, and well, coming just as we had expected to happen — the handset has come available for sale.

That being said, while we had already known the complete set of specs and that the handset was coming soon — we have some good news today in the form of the price points. In short, the handset is inexpensive to the tune of free on a three-year agreement.
In addition, those looking to avoid any sort of commitment can shell out $349.95 and go no-term. Otherwise, there is also the option to pay $299.95 for a two-year agreement or $324.95 for a one-year agreement. Though honestly, neither of those seem to make as much sense given the no-term price.
Either way though, regardless of which option you choose, the handset will retain the same set of specs which include a hardware QWERTY keyboard, 3.1 inch VGA (640 x 480) touchscreen display, 4GB of internal storage and Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Other specs for the PRO+ 4G include a 5 megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1, 3.5mm headphone jack, GPS and a microSD card slot.
The handset measures in at 119.5 x 62 x 11.65 mm, weighs in at 130 grams and as implied by the 4G in the name — comes with support for the Bell Mobility HSPA network. Otherwise, touching back on the original announcement and we remember that it looked like Bell would be pushing the PRO+ 4G towards business users. After all, they had cited the handset as being “a smartphone that you and your IT department can agree upon.” Some of those security minded features include Exchange support as well as PIN lock, remote wipe and full encryption.
Bottom line, despite the handset not being in the superphone category, this could make a nice offering for the person who wants a reliable handset and is not willing and/or able to spend a small fortune to get it.
