Amazon Preparing For The Arrival Of The Kindle Fire, Promises "A Fully-Integrated Android Apps And Games Experience"
The availability of the Kindle Fire is getting closer and closer. We saw the original announcement for the device back in late-September and already know that the device will begin shipping on November 15th. And while we have seen plenty of reports suggesting that pre-orders were high, we suspect some have been waiting for one reason or another.

And well, if your personal reason for waiting was the apps, Amazon has offered up some details this morning that may be of interest to you. According to Amazon, they will launch the Kindle Fire with “several thousand of the most popular Android apps and games.”
Of course, they have yet to reveal that full list of apps, however we can most likely assume that many of the apps will be the ones that are currently available by way of the Amazon Appstore. But in addition, Amazon did mention some specifically. That list includes apps such as Netflix, Facebook and Twitter as well as Rhapsody, Pandora, The Weather Channel and Comics by comiXology.
In addition, the games will come by way of Zynga, EA, Gameloft, PopCap and Rovio. Some of the other apps that were mentioned by Amazon include;
“Allrecipes, Bloomberg, Cut the Rope, Doodle Fit, Doodle Jump, Fruit Ninja, Jenga, LinkedIn, Zillow, Airport Mania, Battleheart, Pulse, The Cat in the Hat, Quickoffice Pro, Jamie’s 20-Minute Meals, IMDb Movies & TV, and Monkey Preschool Lunchbox.”
Otherwise, the Kindle Fire will have access to Kindle ebooks as well as the streaming movies and television shows. And for those picking up a Kindle Fire, you will also get a free month trial of Amazon Prime, which gives you unlimited streaming of the 13,000 movies and television shows along with the recently announced Kindle Owners Lending Library where you can borrow one free ebook per month.
