Samsung Galaxy W Tipped For Release With Bell Mobility
And just like that, the rumor mill has kicked off with another potential handset release for Bell Mobility. The device is the Samsung Galaxy W and the release is expected to happen sooner rather than later.

That being said, while the rumors are calling for a release that “should be coming within a few weeks” — we are not going to get super excited until we get the official word from the carrier. Needless to say, the handset is expected to be arriving this year and it should arrive with a rather nice price tag. Of course, the price tag is expected to reflect the specs. In other words, this will arrive as a mid-range handset as opposed to a superphone like we have been seeing from Bell as of late.
In terms of the Galaxy W, the specs for this handset include a 3.7 inch (480 x 800) touchscreen display, single-core 1.4GHz processor, VGA quality front facing camera, a 5 megapixel rear facing camera, 1500 mAh battery and Android 2.3 Gingerbread. In addition, the usual array of goodies such as GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headphone jack and microSD card slot will also be included.
Bottom line, the Galaxy W is a step down from the Galaxy S II 4G and while that may disappoint some — the pricing should be reflected as such. In other words, the Galaxy W should come with a nice drop in price as compared to the Galaxy S II 4G. And just to clarify, that handset is currently priced at only $99.95 on a three-year agreement. In summary, maybe the Galaxy W will launch as free on a three-year agreement.
Of course, on the flip side of the Bell rumors, diving back into the superphone category — we are also still waiting on something further in terms of the Samsung Galaxy S II LTE.
