Cricket Announces News International Calling Options

It looks like Cricket Wireless has taken a rather nice step towards making international calling much easier. Well, more specifically, they have taken the step towards making international calling much less expensive for you and those calling you. In short, those using Cricket Wireless will soon have a few new “international calling products” available.

The new offerings from Cricket include unlimited global messaging, two new international rate plans and global local numbers. That being said, lets kick things off with the unlimited global messaging, this one is rather simple and will allow Cricket customers to send unlimited text, picture and video messages to friends and/or family members around the world.

In terms of the new international rate plans. This includes a $55 and a $65 per month option. The $55 per month offer is for Mexico and the $65 per month offer is global. Both rate plans include unlimited local talk and US long distance, domestic and global messaging and mobile web.

Taking the further step, the $55 per month Mexico plan also includes a Mexico local number, 500 minutes of use per month for calls to a Mexican landline phone and 30 minutes of use per month for calls to a Mexico mobile phone. And the $65 per month Global plan also includes a global local number, 500 minutes of use per month to call an international landline number and 30 minutes of use per month to an international mobile phone.

And lastly, those global local numbers can also be added-on by themselves which will set you back $5 per month for a number in Mexico or $10 per month for a global number. Bottom line here, these local numbers will allow your friends and/or family members who live outside the US to call you just like the would call anyone who lives locally in their area.

When friends and family in an international location call this in-country local number, they are charged for a local call, and the call rings through to the Cricket customer’s phone.”
