Batman: Arkham City PC Hit With Another Delay
As a person who games primarily on PC these days, I find myself a little jealous of console owners – especially when it comes to games like Batman: Arkham City. Originally, the PC version of Batman: Arkham City was supposed to launch alongside the console version on October 18th, but was delayed.

Warner Bros. pushed back the release date of Batman: Arkham City to November 18th, which was disappointing enough. However, the disappointment doesn’t end there, because today Warner Bros. announced that the game has been delayed once more, this time being moved to November 22nd.
Of course, this is nothing new. We see publishers push back the PC version of multiplatform games all the time, with Ubisoft one of the most common offenders. There’s a lot of speculation as to why these publishers choose to delay the PC versions of their games in the 11th hour, but one theory that seems to make the most sense is that they want to sell more copies of the console version.
Naturally, if someone has both a gaming PC and a console, delaying the PC version of a highly anticipated game might convince those gamers that might have picked the PC version to go with the console version instead. Since most PC games sell for $10 less than the console version, this means more money for the publisher.
Whatever the reason, it’s bull, and unfortunately for Warner Bros, I won’t be buying the PC version of Arkham City for quite some time after launch. You see, Warner Bros had the brilliant idea of delaying Batman: Arkham City until after the launch of Skyrim, so that means I will be far too busy exploring Bethesda’s newest game to give Warner Bros money for a game that should have been out a month ago.
What’s your take? Will you still be buying the PC version of Batman: Arkham City, or is it becoming a forgotten game for you? Why do you think Wanrer Bros decided to delay the PC version? Take to the comments section below and sound off!
