Motorola RAZR Now Available With Rogers

Motorola RAZR Smartphone Comes Available In Canada, Can With Found With Rogers Where It Is Priced At $149.99 On A Three-Year Agreement

The rumors were calling for an early-November release and well, it looks like that is just what has happened — Rogers has officially released the Motorola RAZR smartphone. The handset has quietly been listed on the Rogers website and can be purchased for what we would consider a reasonable price.

Of course, reasonable will vary for everyone so we will let you be the judge for yourself. According to Rogers, the Motorola RAZR will be $149.99 on a three-year agreement. And for those willing to shell out a bit bunch more money in an effort to avoid any long-term commitment — you can also pay $649.99 to go no-term.

That being said, the Motorola RAZR has arrived with features to include Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread, a 4.3 inch (960 x 540) Super AMOLED Advanced touchscreen display and an 8 megapixel rear facing camera with 1080p HD video recording. Also worth noting, the display is Corning Gorilla Glass and the handset itself sports a splash guard coating as well as a Kevlar coated back cover.

Other goodies include a dual-core 1.2GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and a 720p capable front facing camera. Some of the other perks include the Smart Actions app which should allow the user to “automate everyday tasks and enable better battery life.” The RAZR also touts “government-grade encryption protects your email, contacts and calendar” as well as a pre-loaded MOTOCAST app that will allow the user to “safely and effortlessly stream music, movies and more from your PC.” And nicely done, the MOTOCAST app will let your do that from across the room or across the country.

And as one would expect to find with a smartphone these days, the Motorola RAZR will also have Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, Bluetooth, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a microSD card slot. Lastly, the Motorola RAZR measures in at 130.7 x 68.9 x 7.1 mm and weighs in at 127 grams.
