Soulcalibur V Character Creation Trailer Hits The Internet
I know that many fans of the Soulcalibur series like to bash the fourth installment these days, but I played Soulcalibur IV a lot. One of the features I spent the most time playing around with was the character creation mode. Soulcalibur IV‘s character creation let you create all of kinds of wacky and badass characters to use in-game, and I ate it up.

The only problem was that Soulcalibur IV‘s character creation feature was a little complicated. Sure, spending time with it made it easier to understand, but for someone new to character creation, it could get a little overwhelming. For this reason, I suspect many people just went in and played with the female boob sliders.
Now, there’s nothing bad with boob sliders – not by any means – but in an effort to make the character creation module a little more streamlined and easier to understand, Namco Bandai has revamped character creation in Soulcalibur V. The game won’t release on Xbox 360 and PS3 until next year, but you can get an early look at Soulcalibur V‘s revamped character creation in a new introduction trailer from Namco Bandai.
The trailer below previews the basics of character creation through a rather humorous conversation between an insignificant villager with aspirations of becoming a samurai and the game’s producer, Hisaharu Tago. Tago takes us through all of the steps needed to turn a plain looking male model into a samurai, apple vests, glasses, headdress and all!
Wait… headdress? I guess you’ll have to watch the video to see what I mean. All in all, Soulcalibur V‘s character creation module looks more streamlined that it was in Soulcalibur IV, and I can’t wait to spend some time messing around in there. So go ahead and watch the video below, and then head down to the comments section to tell us what you think – will you be creating legions of characters, or do you think that pre-made characters are the way to go in Soulcalibur V?
