ZTE Warp Smartphone Gets A $50 Price Cut With Boost Mobile

Boost Mobile Lowers The Pricing For The ZTE Warp Smartphone, Goes From $249.99 Down To $199.99

Boost Mobile may have only recently introduced the ZTE Warp smartphone, however that does not seem to have stopped them from coming back with a rather significant price cut. And adding a bit of icing on the cake, those making a purchase will also get an added bonus.

The one catch, while the price drop seems to be on a permanent basis, the added bonus will only be available for a limited time. But that being said, the price of the ZTE Warp has been cut by $50, going from $249.99 down to $199.99.

Sure, the ZTE Warp is still a $200 handset, but remember, that is a contract-free $200. And as for that special offer, that comes in the form of a $55 credit towards your Boost Mobile account. In other words, that means one free month of service under the Android Monthly Unlimited service plan.

For those wondering, the Android Monthly Unlimited plan includes unlimited talk, text, web, email and 411. In addition, this particular plan is eligible for the Boost Mobile ‘Shrinkage’ offer which means that your monthly payment will eventually drop to $40. The way the shrinkage works is as follows;

“Activate on Android Monthly Unlimited with Shrinkage and shrink from $55 to as low as $40/month. While it’s best to make regular on-time payments each month, payments do not have to be consecutive. If you miss a payment you don’t have to start over. The on-time payments made to the account will still be available as well as any savings milestone achieved.”

Otherwise, in terms of the ZTE Warp, this handset features a 4.3 inch (480 x 800) touchscreen display, 1GHz processor, 512MB RAM, 4GB internal storage, a microSD card slot, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3.5 mm headphone jack, GPS, 5 megapixel camera and running Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

Bottom line, the ZTE Warp is certainly not the highest spec’d device, however a $199.99 price point and a month of free service sounds like a mighty fair price.

    2. Hey David,

      The free month offer was on the Boost Facebook page;

      “ANYONE who activates their Warp before Nov. 8th 12PM PT, $55 will automatically be credited to your Boost account (that’s one month of free Android Monthly Unlimited service!).”
